The British Soap Awards took place on Saturday 2nd June 2018 on ITV, for the first time broadcasted live to the nation. Doctors & EastEnders made British Soap Awards history as they tied in the Scene of the Year category.

The scene in BBC drama Doctors embraced an interfath marriage proposal…Bollywood style. And yes I mean SERIOUS Bollywood style; from all the cheese and drama to the glamour and colour of Bollywood. Never have I seen anything like this in British television history!

I am still so excited to have involved, as one of the dancers for this award-winning scene on BBC soap ‘Doctors’ thanks to Reena, my dance teacher at Bollywood Dreams Dance Academy.

It was a great experience, as I had never done anything like this before! A chance to release and channel my inner Bollywood Diva definitely something to mark my 2017!

Endless nights of rehearsals, beautiful costumes and a chance to meet amazing people; from the other dancers to the cast of the drama series to British Asian Singer, Songriter Navin Kundra who performed in the scene himself.

A huge congratulations to the whole team of Doctors and choreographers Reena & Sharaz from Bollywood Dreams who made all of this happen!
